A pocket full of Blues 3 way show 

Shane Shepherd's partnership with Blues Harmonica ace Brett Chapman which makes 'Chapman & the Shepherd' has seen the pair land a spot in an intimate 3 way show at the Pocket Bar in Terrigal NSW on Wednesday 11th of September 2019.

'A pocket full of Blues' will see 3 very different Central Coast based act take to the stage. 

The ticketed gig will see Chapman & the Shepherd accompanied by blues rocker Sam I Am and also Blues / Folk duo Banjahayley.

The show will commence at 6:30pm and run through until 10:30pm

Tickets are $10 or $15 with a drink at the door. They can be purchased on the  night.

 

 

Dog Day Afternoon is here! 

Shane Shepherd Music released Shane's debut EP 'Dog Day Afternoon' on Thursday 26th of July, 2018.

The 6 track EP was recorded at Riversong Music on the Central Coast of NSW over a 3 year period.

Shepherd said that he is proud to have his debut EP released.

Songs on 'Dog Day Afternoon' include Koori Girl which gave Shane a top ten finals birth in the 2017 Songs Alive Australia Song Writing Competition and also 'Too Late' which finished in the finals of the 2013 Coast Sessions Song Writing Competition.

All songs on Dog Day Afternoon were written by Shane and good friend Scott Bird.

Dog Day Afternoon is available on CD aswell as digitally.

Shepherd performs KOORI GIRL at Central Coast Community NAIDOC Day 2018 

 

Shane was given the opportunity to perform his song KOORI GIRL at the 2018 Central Coast Nunyara NAIDOC Community Day which was held at Gosford Race Course during the National NAIDOC week in July 2018.

Koori Girl was inspired by the story of Shane's partners mother Roberta Swan who is a living member of the stolen generation and who despite being a well respected elder with in the Central Coast's indigenous community has lived through many struggles through out her life.

Shane said that the song would go hand in hand with the 2018 National NAIDOC Week Motto 'Because of her we can'. And that the song would strike the hearts of many indigenous woman across the country as it did with Roberta.

Shane performed KOORI GIRL in front of the large indigenous crowd that had congregated upon Gosford Race Course for the largely popular and ever growing community event. But before doing so, he dedicated the 2017 Songs Alive Australia Singer / Song Writer Competition Final making song to Roberta aswell as all of the other strong indigenous woman who were in attendance on the day.

Shane and KOORI GIRL were both received with great applause by the indigenous community on the day.

KOORI GIRL is due to be released on Shepherd's debut EP 'Dog Day Afternoon' later in July 2018.
